How to do a Basic French Manicure | Tutorial

Nail Art for Beginners

Basic French Manicure Tutorial

This style of MANICURE is designed to resemble the original nails. It is characterized by the lack of base color, or nude pink nails with white tips. The nail tips are painted white, while the rest of the nails are polished in a pink or a suitable nude shade. However, it is also common to perform a French Manicure on natural nails.

Items Used

  • Vega Large Nail Clipper
  • Vega 4-way Buffer Manicure Tool
  • Vega Soft Touch Cuticle Trimmer and Pusher
  • Q-tips

Nail Colors Used

  • Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel, Porcelain Party
  • Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel, Crystal Clear
  • Lakme Nail Color Remover

All the Tools and Nail Colors mentioned are available on Nykaa.com

So, let's get started!

Step 1

Do a Regular Manicure and keep your Nails Shaped Flat and Ready as shown in the picture below.

Step 2

Apply a nude color Base coat and paint your nail tips with  white color. You can use a thin brush to outline the tips and then fill out the color. Here I have used the Nail Polish brush to shape the tips and used a Q-tip dipped in Nail Polish Remover to remove excess paint.

Step 3

Finish off with a top coat!!
