A Step-by-Step guide to do a Water Marble Nail Art | Tutorial

Nail Art for Beginners

Water Marble Nail Art

Water Marble Nail is a nail art technique which involves dropping the nail enamels into clear water and create a pattern on the surface of the water. This pattern then goes on to the nails.

Step 1

Apply a base coat(White color) onto your nails. Allow it to dry completely.

Note : Base coat helps you to get a even and smooth surface to spread out the nail polish on your nails. It also helps in preventing the chipping of nails.

Step 2

Now paint your nails with the Pink and the Purple undertone shade as shown in the picture below.

Step 3

Use a scotch tape to cover the skin around your nails to prevent it from the nail color.

Tip : You can also apply Vaseline around the nails instead of a Tape

Step 4

Fill some water into a paper cup. I highly recommend you to use clear filtered room temperature water.
Choose any 2 contrast colors to draw a pattern on the water. I have used the Black and Pink shade to draw patterns. You need to drop the nail colors one by one and one top of the other on the water. Please be a little quicker during this step. Otherwise the nail colors might dry out and stop spreading. Also make sure that your nail paints are not too thick but runny and smooth.

After you have enough circles, you can draw a design or a pattern of your choice with the help of a toothpick.

Step 5

Now you have the design ready, you can dip your nail onto the design and slowly take it out. You will have the design onto your nails!! Remove the scotch tape and wipe off the excess paint with the help of a Q-tip dipped in Nail Polish Remover.

Step 6

Apply a Top Coat to protect your Design. Here is the finished look!!
